Also, it is possible to buy eclipse protection glasses off of the internet. It is very important to make sure that you are getting them from a reputable source. You are literally entrusting your eyesight to the protection of the eclipse glasses.

It is also possible to make your own Eclipse Glasses. However, you must know exactly what you are doing. You need shade 14 or higher welder's glass. This will allow you to see the sun without having UV light get through to your eyes. You must examine the welder's glass to make sure that there are no cracks or scratches in the glass. If the glass is completely clear, you can use this to view the sun. You can even fashion your own glasses with shade 14 welder's glass. A welder's helmet with shade 14 glass could also be used to view the sun.
